خَجُول \ bashful: (esp. of children) uncomfortable in the presence of strangers. coy: (of children) afraid of strangers; (of a girl) pretending to be nervous in front of men. self-conscious: feeling ashamed or uncomfortable because one’s actions or appearance may seem foolish to others: He is much too self-conscious to make a public speech.
